Consciousness Studies (MCS) Curriculum Overview
The courses in the Master of Arts in Consciousness Studies provide students with a solid foundational knowledge in the area of consciousness. The Consciousness Studies faculty represents internationally renowned teachers and experts in the theory and practice of ancient and contemporary wisdom disciplines. Each of these brings an integral, cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural perspective to the teaching of their subjects.

MCS/MTP 701 - Thesis Course: Student Comprehensive.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES for Consciousness Studies:
The student will be able to list and discuss the models of cosmology as found in Eastern and Western spiritual traditions;
The student will be able to recognize and analyze the numinous experience and religious ideas in philosophical terms;
The student will be able to comprehend and discuss the notion of quantum non-locality and its implications for consciousness;
The student will gain a comprehensive ability to reference the Bible, the Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita, Buddhism, and classical philosophy and draw from each principles related to the nature of human consciousness;
The student will be able to describe the universality of convergent ideas in world religions;
The student will be able to trace the Western philosophical, scientific and academic tradition to its historical origin in spiritual experiences;
The student will be able to describe the formative role of the notion of life after death in Western thought;
The student will be able to approach everyday human problems from the perspective of wisdom traditions and be better able to devise creative written solutions to problems consistent with universal wisdom principles.
